Playground wisdom says "It takes one to know one." Who better than an aging female internist to keep you in the know on the latest in medical advances to help you navigate through middle-age and beyond?
This information is intended to be general in nature and should not be relied upon for specific treatment. If you need medical attention, please contact your personal physician's office for an appointment.

Hope you weather the storm.
So sorry...that's a lot of difficult changes at once. I hope your husband's presence can help ease the storm rather than make it worse! ;-)
My spouse was/is in the middle of his own retirement storm! Fortunately, my twenty-something daughter flew in from Philly to support all the people moving going on.
Today is move day for Mom. Her new room is full of her paintings, knick knacks, plants, and favorite furniture. I hardly slept at all last night.
Thanks for the support!
Glad your mom's new room has her personal objects in it that will make her feel at home.
I'm in the midst of helping my aunt (age 86) move from her house of 55 years into a senior citizen's apartment building down the street from me. It's a studio so it will be an adjustment for her. But my mom (her sister) lives there already so at least she'll have her for company there and of course I'm up the street. But it's always hard for someone to leave their home and go to a new place. I hope your mother is able to understand enough to accept it but not so much that she is upset about the changes.
Sorry I missed reading this post - I want to add my wishes of support - although late.
