Medical advice from Whole Foods vitamin clerks

I wonder what their credentials are. And what's in adrenal extracts anyway? Whose adrenals are dried and powdered within, and could they be just offal?

I also wonder what the credentials the drug salesmen have, the ones who line up to see doctors to hand them free samples with glossy advertising? Consumers are often looking for that "magic pill", whether it is from their doctor or the health food store. I am suspicious of both...
I would leave the adrenal extracts on the shelf though!

This made me laugh. My sister in law has spent waaaay to much time at vitamin stores and is unbelievably hung up on adrenal function. Anytime anyone has any health issue she jumps right to "the adrenals." She did this when a member of our family had stage 4, no-hope-whatsoever cancer. Personally, I don't even know what the adrenals are and I just assume mine are fine!

Offal? That's awful...

Best I can tell , they have the same HEALING credentials as doctors, none, except they dont have to go by medical, pharmaceutical, 'protocol'.....

Groan! (that is the proper response to a "good" pun - which of course you have to say is an awful pun). Or in this case, offal.

Are you saying you think someone needs credentials to have information you don't? Get off your high horse.

My highly credentialed Stanford board certified schloks told me without steroids I'd be crippled because of my severe RA.

My health food store clerks shoved me in front of certain substances and my hands unclawed and my hips stopped with the searing pain and my quality of life went from zero to off the charts. And I went from not walking to roller blading.

I have never returned to the medical mafia. I do all my own research, diagnosis and treatment.

I am now 61 and someone guessed my age as 38. Damn! I have taken VIT C every day since I was 28. The journal Cell Stem Cell came out in Feb 2009 about how C can change cells into stem cells and called it a youthing substance.

My credentials for giving you this info? ZERO....so please ignore it. Do not bother to go research the cite I gave you, because I have no credentials.

And if you want to know what is in adrenal extracts, it is easily researched - and so is the reason they work. Then when you do the research, you will know it is from someone with credentials.
